Troubleshooting: Your garage door opener is beeping and flashing

This is a quick guide to help you stop your B&D opener if it is continuously beeping and flashing.

1. Check if the service light indicator is flashing.
   
   The most common reason a garage door opener will beep or flash is that it is due for scheduled maintenance. Like a car, your garage door opener is made up of many moving parts and requires regular servicing to ensure it continues to operate at optimal capacity.

   Servicing and repairs should only be provided by a trained garage door professional.

2. Your opener may be beeping if the doors path is obstructed.
   
   Clear away anything that may be preventing the door from closing properly.
   
   
   
3. If you have safety beams installed, clear away any dirt, debri or obstructions that might be blocking the beams path.
   
   You should also check the safety beams battery is not running low.
   
   
   
4. If you have Auto-Lock installed, check that it has correctly disengaged and the battery is not running low.
   
   If the Autolock has not correctly disengaged press the button on the Auto-Lock. If this doesn't work, call B&D to arrange a service.
   
   
   
5. Check if the garage door opener has overloaded or stalled. The opener will flash 9 times if this is the case.
   
   If you suspect this has happened call B&D to arrange a service.
